A little tsipouro, a little sea and my boyfriend!

It was a lovely sunny day today. We went for our usual walk at the sea front. The new sea front promenade with its lovely gardens, trees and the view of the Thermaikos Gulf  is invigorating! A short stop for some tsipouro me meze which means tsipouro with appetisers was a must. And since it was so sunny and warm sitting in the sun we sat outside.I love tsipouro with anise and the appetisers are smoked fish with cabbage and carrot salad, octopus salad.(Ok I know my friends Marabeth and Angela wouldn't eat that!),fried cod with garlic sauce and tuna salad. Accompanied of course by grilled bread with oregano and olive oil on top!Followed by chocolate cake and mastiha icecream!Yummie! The desert was a treat of the restaurant."Volos" is where we usually go if we want to drink some tsipouro. Now that I am writing this I am hungry again! One does not need much more to be happy! A Greek song says .... a little wine, a little sea and my boyfriend...well I would say... a little tsipouro,a little sea and my boyfriend!
Of course lots of people were at the sea front, we met my friend Athena and were greeted by lots of dogs,we really like that.
The sky was so blue and the planes left white lines behind them!

Oh no......more octopus!! But the cake...now THAT I like! I love the English Setter. He reminds me of my dog who was a Field Setter but black and white. They have the same temperment though and same shaped heads......wonderful dogs!
You had a lovely day and I enjoyed reading all about it.
