An exchange that never happened.

Sometimes things don't go as we wish.
Some months ago Ingrid of miistitch organised an Egg-change. That was to be a stitched piece in the Easter theme as well as some chocolate for Easter.
I made this. It is a Tralala free cross stitch pattern. I found it here. Made it and sent it to my partner Bernadette in France (no blog). She received it and enjoyed it. I sent some chocolate along.
And these little Easter wooden decorations bought from Tiger.
I waited for a long long time and nothing arrived for me though. I was supposed to receive something from Emma of  My creative Corner but unfortunately it got lost in the mail!
This is what Emma posted but never arrived!
What a pity someone else got it instead of me!It is so beautiful!Unfortunately Emma had posted it with simple mail. Remember it is better to post things registered mail so that you can trace them if and when they get lost!Anyway....
So when dear Ingrid heard that I didn't receive anything in the exchange she took it on herself to compensate me! She sent me a lovely parcel that contained all this! It was like Christmas in May!

She stitched two lovely pieces for me!Aren't they gorgeous?
She added lots of fabric, felt, threads, beads and buttons all in my favourite colours! And some candy which of course we (my son included!) really enjoyed!
Thank you so much dear Ingrid!

In the end of September....

...here are bits and pieces of things that happened in September! I promise the next blogpost will be about October!
Of course we took part in an antifascist demonstration when Pavlos Fyssas was murdered by a GoldenDawn member. You can read about this very sad event here. You can here his music here.

We presented "Koutornithia", our children's play at the Festival for eco friendly products..

We walked to the city centre for the No-Car Day.
Doesn't this photo look like New York? It is the Central Library.
And Barca didn't really like this policeman!Although he was very nice to her!
We attended two out of the three weddings we were invited at. The other one was in Athens, that's why we couldn't go!
The favours of the two weddings!
Of course you know what these jars are going to be filled with!
My son and I made this very sweet recipe in September which he found on the net.
Melt chocolate chips with a bit of milk and add a few marshmallows cut in small pieces.
Pour the liquid chocolate in a baking pan. Top with marshmallows.
And grill for a couple of minutes!Be careful they burn very fast!
 Eat with a biscuit!
We took part in a teachers' and civil servants' strike day and demonstration!
We performed a shadow puppet play at the Syriza Youth Festival at Pavlos Melas Military Base.
There I spotted these very strange flowers.

In general it was a very beautiful place.

And I guess that's all about September!

Gifts from Canada

My dear Canadian sea glass friend Angela and her " daugher " Zoe, my niece, her sweetest puppy, sent me this lovely parcel with treasures from Canada and Prince Edwrad Island.

I loved the little fatty mermaid!
And the beautiful card Angela made with sea glass!
She also made wine tags.
I loved all those shells from her island.
Sha painted a stone for me!
And made me jewelry!

And of course added some chocolate!

Thank you my dear!
