Time I started telling you about my trip to the States.-Our trip to the U.S.A (1)

It was a whole month, the month of July and hubby took me to the States as a gift! A dream come true! The dream was to go to the States. And to meet my friends there! It was an awesome trip due to all the people who showed so much love, hospitality and generosity to us.
It will probably take me too long to blog about the whole trip but I am sure some will enjoy reading about it and seeing the photos. So let's begin!
We flew by Turkish Airlines. Excellent flights, very reasonably priced if you book early, good food, gifts, no delays, lots to drink, lots to see. And two huge suitcases each!
From Thessaloniki to Istanbul one hour!

We only had time to take pictures and eat breakfast! That Hamidiye water was the most delicious water I have ever drank!

A little bit of waiting, checking of papers and off we go. Not tired yet!

A long 10 and a half hour trip. Two lunches during the trip. Here's the first. We each chose a different one. Yes there was a menu choice and yes we were in Economy class.

I watched three movies in my screen in front of me. Of course there were no Greek subtitles but I still could enjoy them.
First it was "The Grand Budapest Hotel", I didn't really like it though. Then "The Lego movie" not for me either but the last one was excellent and helped me during the most tiring part of the trip.
"The Book Thief"
Outside it was cold but cool inside.
 Then we had dinner.
We also got a gift. A metal case with socks, night mask, lip balm, toothbrush and toothpaste in it.

A selfie to show how excited we were.
We passed over that beautiful lighthouse just before landing in Boston Logan. Does anyone know the name of it? Well facebook did it again. One my sea glass friends there, Nancy, just told me it is the Graves Lighthouse. You can read more about it here and here.

 Safe and sound!
 To be continued!

Looks like a lovely flight! I just went to London a few weeks ago and watched The Grand Budapest Hotel as well - I didn't enjoy it either! The Book Thief is lovely, isn't it? :D
