The end of the school year

Here we are at the end of another school year.
Time flies.
It was a good year.
I was more relaxed, I had good pupils and good colleagues.
This week we had the final festivities.
The Physical Education teachers did some exercises at the playground. It was fun.
Schools finished today. And the summer holidays begin on Friday! We still have a couple of days to go and arrange things, paperwork mainly.
In general I am working on various things that I cannot show yet.
In the evenings we always end the day with a relaxing walk at the sea front with Barca.
Sometimes the sunset is breathtaking.

And sometimes we are awesticken.
Like when the night and the day were in the same view!
This week we had elections at school for the new headmaster and we elected the one we wanted which is good. We also had elections for our representatives.
This week I went out with some girl friends to celebrate the success of one of them.
It's great when things get into place and sail smoothly just like a beautiful boat.
We also went to a book presentation. It is the book Ahyat Anhar by Maro Karga. Our Drama Club presented the book and we attended.
The writer.
The book is already in my reading list for summer. I even prepared the bag with all the books I am taking to the beach house to read for the readathon15 that I have joined. I still have 13 books to read till the end of 2015. I am sure I will manage.
I'd like to thank you all for your comments. I answer directly those that are connected to an e-mail address and I simply join the blogs of the rest of the people who leave a comment and leave comments on their blogs!

May 1st long weekend

Thank you friends and followers for your comments in my last blogpost. It seems others too feel likewise!
So I will just go on ...my way!
May 1st was off school of course and since it was a Friday we took the chance to leave the city.
On Friday we went to my brother's beach house.
On the way I worked on the Stitch Enigma I want to take part in. You can find all about it in the side of my blog.
It was a glorious day!
When we arrived at their place you couldn't really tell if it was Clean Monday as there were kites in the sky...
...or if it was Easter as people were barbecueing everywhere...
...or if it was summer as people were at the beach bars and some brave ones were even swimming!
We walked around...
spotting beautiful flowers...
I even found a gorgeous stone filled with quartz....
Of course the men barbecued under our scrutiny (and Barca's scrutiny of course!)
Those sausages especially the yellow ones with chicken and cheese were terrific!
The views of fields covered in poppies were wonderful!
And some had to be gathered!
Afterwards we went to our beach house to enjoy the sunset...

and the moon.
The next day we did some house chores like putting an old coffee table from the city house in its place
but we also walked the beach enjoying the view of the snowcovered Olympus opposite us......
We of course collected some sea glass....

We also found lots of beautifully painted stones that probably tourists left behind.
But there was a guard guarding them so we didn't take any!
Beautiful flowers were everywhere at the beach!

and around in the fields.

Barca made a new friend...a huge gentle giant stray dog we were almost ready to take with us....
But we had to return to the city and this is what we returned to, another gorgeous sunset in Thessaloniki.
Sunday was beautiful too.
The sky was painted in white brush strokes...
We were hungry and we sat at To Elliniko! It was great as usual! We had some steamed mussels and some caramelised mushrooms along with tsipouro of course.
One of my mussels was pregnant!
It was a great weekend...when weekends are like that I feel like a tiny flower in this world, a happy little flower...
Good night!
