So much happening!

Hello friends!
Wow! We are all the way in October and I haven't blogged since 20th September.
I am sorry but as I mentioned in my previous blogpost I do much more in real life than in the virtual one so I will blog only when I really can.
After spending a whole weekend decluttering and cleaning my bookcase I thought of relaxing a bit and sit on the computer today. So here I am.
Thank you all for your comments and congratulations in my previous blogpost. Luxembourg was really a great experience.
Since we returned lots and lots of things happened.
Schools had already started and I had to rush in and start teaching.
I managed to clean my English classroom a bit more and decorate it with Autumn themes.

I finished cleaning my new kitchen.

I attended two shadow puppet performances one by Tassos Georgiou at Katerini.....

and one by Giannis Chatzis in Thessaloniki.

That was a good chance to meet old friends.

I also had coffee with old colleagues at Kitchen Bar cafe overlooking the beautiful Thessaloniki where a cycling race was taking place.

I tried to do a bit of redecorating...

 and cleaned my big bookcase.That was a real chore.

I also went to two weddings,

a memorial service

 and a wedding anniversary party

 and celebrated my nameday.

I decluttered our wardrobes,CDs and books.

 There is still a lot to do.
I also visited a couple of Art Galleries but I will talk about these in a separate post.

Our wedding

Hubby and I have been together for more than 15 years.

We never really thought we had to get married since we had no children together and no fortune together!

But we had locked each other's fortune in our hearts and that was enough!

He proposed very informally this Easter sending me the civil wedding ceremony application form in a USB.

Some found this very nice! I thought it was at least original! No bending knees at this age!
And I said "Yes! Of course!"

Because I love him and have been loving him all these years.
Because no matter what, he is my best friend and we share so much together!
And we have been living together all these years!

And because in Greece unless you are married to someone you are not allowed to take leave off work to take care of him in case of need and you are not even allowed to stand by him in hospital and listen to the doctors talking about your loved one because you are not next of kin!

For all those reasons and more we got married.
He didn't want wedding rings, or a big open wedding!
Only a few relatives and friends.

I didn't want a wedding gown, Ι wanted it a bit handmade and really wanted around me the people who have shown their respect and love to us all these years!

This weekend in Thessaloniki.

So have a nice month everyone! I know I should have said this yesterday! Can you believe it is October already? Have you started Christmas mail? If I don't start in a couple of days I will be behind again! I so much want to send handmade cards that's why!
Anyway some of my colleagues at school have started making muffins already and I am so glad I have persuaded them.
So last weekend we had a rehearsal on the new play we will be mounting for adults not children with the Teacher's Drama club. That was on Friday evening.
Then on Saturday morning we took a walk at the sea front. It was hot,hot,hot...and misty....

Of course we had to go to the supermarket for the week's groceries too.
Then in the evening it was the wedding party of last week's wedding!It was fun!The party took place at the space of another drama club and it was great meeting people we know. We also saw lots of decorations by our stage manager and the food was excellent. I contributed my potato salad.

 That's the favour from the wedding. It was handmade by the groom's aunt.

On Sunday morning we went to the seafront again to the rowing regatta to watch the races. Unfortunately we were late and only caught the closing ceremony but then had lunch with hubby's brother and his wife.I also had the chance again to meet old friends.
