Lurk

Last Wednesday hubby and I went to the premiere of the film "Lurk" by Vassilis Katsikis.
We met Vassilis during one of our theatrical performances a couple of months ago and wanted to see his new film.We had already seen his previous film "I-4 Loufa &Apallagi"
You can read all about Vassilis Katsikis' CV here.
His new film is a horror movie. It is called "Lurk" or in Greek "Paramonevondas".
It was really very good. It had a good story, great cinematography by Dimitris Stabolis and music by Antonis Sousamoglou.
Starring Tess Spentzos, an excellent Peter Gerald and Aris Athan.
If you like horror movies you will realise that we don't have many in Greek cinematography
and Mr. Katsikis has made a great effort to fulfill the genre.
The film is in English with subtitles.
We really enjoyed it.

Shooting a movie!

Hello dear readers! I know I have become very slow in writing my blogposts but I don't seem to find ever enough time to write it any more! That does not mean that I am planning to stop blogging. I just simply write it whenever I can.
I would like to wish all my friends who celebrate Easter Sunday today to be a very happy one. Ours is next Sunday!
Today I will show you photos from the shootings of a film hubby and I took part in as subs.
It is the film Ouzeri Tsitsanis based on the book with the same title by Yorgos Skabardonis. The film is about the love story of a Jew girl with a Christian man during the World War II. It talks about the extermination of the Jews of Thessaloniki, my city,by Hitler and among all that is the life also of the Greek composer Vasilis Tsitsanis.
There are a lot of great actors and actresses in the film. Tsitsanis is played by hubby's Godson Andreas Konstadinou and the director is Manousos Manousakis.
When it was announced that sub actors are asked to volunteer for the film I sent an e-mail at once. Believe it or not mine was the first out of 10.000 e-mails and messages sent and the person responsible to choose the actors remembered the photos we sent him! Those photos with the map behind our backs!LOL!
Anyway we really wanted to take part in the film because it would be a great experience and so it was indeed! I took part two days (7 and 12 hours of shooting respectively) and hubby took part four days (two more 12-hour shootings).
Here are photos of the shootings.

Have a great March friends!

It's March already yes!
This last week of February was a cozy little week that started with a day off as it was Clean Monday (Ash Monday).
We spent it by ourselves as the weather was bad and we simply walked the seafront. Some people were trying to fly their kites. Some did...

...some didn't....
More walking of the sea front took place this week...(I'm sure some of you might be really sick and tired of those photos!)

This Saturday we voluntarily took part in a movie as extras. We pretended to be unemployed people standing in a line. Three hours in the cold but that was one more new experience!

And of course I took the chance to look around me!
See? Spring is almost around the corner!

And I loved those graffiti walls.

Aren't those colours gorgeous?
