First we went to see the vintage cars at the grounds of the Municipality hall.
And the oxymoron of these photos, expensive vintage cars and demonstrating redundancy Municipality workers' tents......
Then we went to the first open antique market of the season.....
I loved all that glass.
Then I spotted that embroidery stamped fabric which was half finished. I loved it and thought of turning it into a cushion cover for the beach house so I bought it.
Later we had some coffee at the Terra Antiqua Cafe of the Archaeological Museum under the shady trees.....
And here is the lot of my finds at the antique market.......
The embroidery.......
I have a new favourite seller, the one who sells at one euro.....I almost emptied his table......
two blue flower oval plates and a lovely vintage fish wall vase.....
A beautiful glass plate of a Greek island......
A lovely kissing couple from Holland. Ever since I met Frieda I look out for Dutch souvenirs!
A flower pot frog and a Turkish nargile or Hookah. which is broken but looks beautiful anyway.
A couple of books were added at our reading list, a shadow puppet theatre book for hubby and Isabel Allende's The House of Spirits for me.
I saw really crazy prices on the Internet and ebay about those little vases but we found it in a very reasonable price from a good friendly seller!
I hope you enjoyed the walk with me.The next open antique market is on the 13th October!
