Summer 2013- sunsets

Sometimes in the evening we went for short visits to nearby places like Afytos or Kallithea.

Other times we stayed by the sea to watch a magestic sunset.Each one so different!

And sometimes at nights we watched fireworks and the moon.

With or without a drink.....

Summer 2013-the sky

It was a glorious summer weatherwise, just like this Septemeber in the city.

 Every time you turned your eyes upwards there was something interesting to see.

 And even during the very few rainy cold days....

 ....there was an amazing rainbow afterwards....
(in fact this one was a double rainbow but too difficult to take a picture of it in its full glory!)

Summer 2013- the beach

After lunch...
(here's a pic of some fish hubby caught and we did on the barbeque)

...we usually took a nap but I mainly read books.
Then in the evening we went to the beach again or swam.
It was great finding details for photography...
...stone patterns people leave on the beach.....

 forgotten items...

 wooden steps to empty houses.....

 ...dogs and deck chairs from the nearby hotels.....

 ....stones and the sea from various angles.....

 ....plants.....

 ...the view....

 ....logs.....

 ....and rope from boats....

 ....forgotten children's toys....

 ....the view through the plants.....

 ....the threatened lillies of the sand.....

 ....lost fishing items from boats.....

 ...and stones of course when sea glass was not found.....
