Are you wearing March?

It is a Greek custom for children mainly but also grown ups to wear "March" on their wrist on the first of March. It is a little bracelet made of white and red thread. If you wear it then the sun won't make you dark during the early sudden sunshines of spring. And when March leaves we leave the thread bracelet outside on a flower pot or a tree and swallows take them to build their nests!Traditional stories that make children at school happy. I was given the bracelet by a fellow colleague at school and she made an intricate design. When I returned home hubbie was also wearing one made by one of his colleagues. So our two "Marches" met in a sweet embrace.
I am adding the March square from my SAL My little heart 2010.

I really like your March custom! And how sweet you have matching March bracelets! We have a saying here.....If March comes in like a lamb, it will go out like a lion or visa versa, if March comes in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb. So today on March 1st, it was a lovely day....no wind and sunshine.....so March came in like a lamb. We'll see if the last day of March will be a bad weather day.

Our March came in as a roaring frozen lion with cold and rain so I hope it will be better by the end of the month!
