I managed to make a whole plan of what we would do on that day. It was the last day and I wanted to see the most of the museums there. I made a very strict schedule and I was very obstinate to keep it. I am so happy hubby accepted that as he saw me so enthusiastic to see so many places not knowing if and when we will manage to do that again.
So after breakfast we started very early. Thank God it was a lovely day again!
We walked to Saint Nicholas church first.
Then we went to the Palamidis Library. We were looking for some Karaghiozis books.
Then we went to the Archaeological Museum of Nafplio. You can see it here too.
I was so impressed of what I saw in it.
Ancient shells....
...skeletons...
...vases and pottery vessels...
...porcelain impressed leaves....
...tiny amphorae....
....ancient pebbles....
....dolphin frescoes....
...ancient food....
....fantastic beads....
....quartz....
....stone vases....
...little idols......
...unfortunately that amazing fish was not there....
....wonderful jewelry....
....bone combs.....
...a tiny frog....
....little animals....
....an octopus on a vase....
....shells on a vase....
...jewelry....
....gold jewelry....
...the view from the windows towards the square was lovely too...
...metal tools....
....an amazing armour.....
...those quartz beads.....oh.....
...lovely pots.....
...look at that pomegranate.....
...doesn't that look like a caricature?....
....and we adored those huge masks.....
...glass is my favourite of course....
...and a lovely shell....
...a mirror.....
....look at that motion on the dress.....
...look at this giraffe....
Leaving with our hearts full of this stunning museum....
...saying hi to this sweet pal....
...and realising that the financial crisis and the government measures have affected this place as well....
Then we looked at the Vouleftiko, an old Parliament building next to the museum.
We adored the Constitution square (Syntagma square) once more.
...And we moved on.....
