Protesting students.

I spent the evening at my son's High school trying to have contact with other parents and the teachers so that we persuade the students to end the closing of the school. Students demand books, teachers and a better school environment. They have kept the school closed for three weeks. They are right but a closed school is a closed mind and closed horizons. Knowledge only brings freedom. Students get manipulated by a minority of students to keep the school closed so as to protest against the government for not sending books, teachers or any money. The situation is the same in almost all High schools in Greece now.And the answer of the Ministry of Education is the same as the Government. They have no money. I don't know where this will end. The students have already lost three weeks of school.   I am afraid their protesting is like a feather on a cactus.....the cactus(Ministry) feels nothing!

There are so many protests/sit-ins/demonstations all across the world at the moment. I think it speaks to the desparation and frustration of people throughout the world. But what is the answer and will anything ever be solved when the governments lend a deaf ear. Something needs to change soon before these demonstations beget violence, death and destruction.
