Last days of July

The weather was fantastic!I had to return to the city to write my essays for my seminar.
Since we had visitors we did a bit of sightseeing.
This is Saint Sophia Church(The Wisdom of God).

This is me and my friend Margrit from Istanbul in front of Saint Sophia.
My friend Marabeth's daughter Amy from the States sent me this lovely gift of Sienna Sky earrings of a cardinal on a tree.
Jim and Kim from my sea glass sites sent me some lovely pieces of sea glass, among them a huge insulator piece and a lovely blue Vicks piece.
Here are my gifts from Margrit from Istanbul.
I did some redecorating. I put my Royal Copenhagen Danish porcelain plates on the wall.
And some other plates in the kitchen. The bigger ones are Sydenstricker sent to me from the States by my dear Marabeth.
Also my two Prague scenery prints were put in the bedroom.
I bought a new bookmark to enjoy when reading my book. Shakespeare of course.
My oregano and marjoran are thriving in my balcony.
And so did my basil.
When I returned to the summer house my neighbour had brought her panther.....I mean cat!
And one more new decoration,I covered a cheap Ikea lamp with a paper and it looks beautiful when lit!

My friends I know my blog posts are probably looking a bit strange as I am writing about things that happened in summer etc but as you know I love keeping my blog as a diary as well. Apart from that I am really busy at the time and I am not sure when I will be able to write regularly and about every day news as I did before summer.
