Our trip to the U.S.A.(11)- Elizabeth Park, Hartford.

So after visiting the Harriet Beecher Stowe and the Mark Twain Houses (Centre,Museum,Shop) there was still day light for something more. Marabeth had the idea of taking us to a place she loves and was sure we would love too. Elizabeth Park. And we really did.
On the way we saw many beautiful houses!

When we arrived at the park first we sat down and ate our sandwiches. Unfortunately we weren't quick enough to catch a picture of a huge heron flying over this pond. But the ducks were an easy target.

There were some interesting works of art all around.

At some point a school bus arrived. It was bringing the guests of a wedding.
After eating we walked around the gardens. They were gorgeous.

Ooops suddenly a pair of wedding shoes! Why were they left there?
And the musicians of the wedding were having a rehearsal!

I loved this dog drinking fountain in the park!

We even attended a bit of the wedding.

When we left we spotted some more beautiful houses!

This is not a house. It is a senior citizens' home now but used to be a school.

We went inside and it was really beautiful but as it is a private building photography was not allowed.
We finished our day with ice cream at this lovely little place.

(to be continued)
