Romania Day 2 the rest of the day

I feel these posts on Romania have become rather long and I am still on day two. And seeing the traffic on my page almost knowone reads them but oh well I do this for me so I go on. It is great seeing the photos again and remembering what a great time we had!
After the many photos of the city tour we had the rest of the day free.
Hubby and I chose to drink some coffee and Romanian beer with our fellow travellers at a nice cafe.

Then my cousin Kalliopi came and took us to a long walk. The weather was much better than in the morning. So we saw lots of little corners that we wouldn't be able to see if we were by ourselves.
This beautiful flower pot in a marble triangle.
This building that was transformed with the help of architects into a modern one.
And it still has the spots of bullets that were used against demonstrators during the revolution.
 More buildings.

Then we visited a lovely bookshop.

But I couldn't take inside as many photos as I would like.

We walked around a lot. Saw beautifully painted walls.

We also walked inside a lovely park and along a street with beautiful buildings and embassies.

We then returned to our hotel, had dinner and although we were very tired we accepted a suggestion to go to the city centre again. I was against that but had to accept. It was raining heavily and it was cold. Finally as we couldn't find a place to have a drink since everything was full we returned back in a taxi and slept in a lovely room and got a good night's sleep.

Dearest Ariadne
I have enjoyed your tour through Romania although I have not commented on every post.
I will never get to see this country and so I tour it with you.

Hi, Ariadne! Just wanted to let you know that I, too, have enjoyed the tour of Romania on your blog. A friend of mine (an avid traveler) loved it when she went and recommended it to me, but I have never been, though your pictures are making me want to visit!

I started reading your blog because I visited Thessoliniki back in 2009 with a church group. The city and Greek culture left quite a good impression on me. Perhaps I will return one day.

All this just to let you know that I enjoy reading your blog. It inspires me to perhaps have my own some day soon.

Thanks for posting!

I love the black and white patterns on the walls in Romania, and I think the umbrellas on the Greek post-election photos are wonderful. Can you tell me more about these please?
Keep up the posts, I read them all via email!

The photos of Romania are beautiful. I dream to go there some day. My favorite building is the one with the yellow stained-glass awning. Amazing!
