We are back from our honeymoon to Lefkada island!
We are so so lucky! I thank God for that!
We had booked our honeymoon a couple of months ago and so we went to Lefkada island afterall.
While there we heard the bad news. Capital control and banks closed!
Fortunately we had prepaid our trip and we had enough cash to eat lunch and dinner and enough petrol in the car to return!
I admit we saw a lot of beautiful places and had a great time although under the shadow of the financial crisis.
I want to share all this but I am not in the best of moods right now.
I will show you a few photos though! I will blog in detail later in time.
I would like to thank all of my friends who are supportive of us and our country at present. You don't know how much this means to us.

First off, Ariadne, I would like to say how sorry I am that things are so bad in your country. I hope that they improve soon. On a happier note, how lucky that you had everything prepaid and had some cash with you. Beautiful photos and oh, you went to Ithaca, Odysseus' home! Love your sketchbook, too.

Everything looked wonderfully lovely, except the storm. Glad no harm come to both of you. Hope both of you enjoyed and had a wonderful time together as newly weds.
What a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous photos with us. So sad that your trip was overshadowed by the financial situation but I hope you were able to celebrate your marriage with happiness. You certainly chose a beautiful place for your honeymoon.
Lovely photos as usual, hope you had a great time !
Thinking of all the Greeks, and especially you and my friends in Athens, and hope the referendum helps in some way.

What a wonderful to go to for a honeymoon!! I'd never heard of it until this post and it's truly beautiful. I hope you have enjoyed your time away despite the current situation.
Thinking of you all xx
I' d like to visit Lefkada, my grandmother's island. I 've heard it's beautiful & now you confirm that! I wish you the best & of course I hope you can go back more cheerful & relaxed
Ariadne, This is only the second time I have seen your blog. The first was of your wedding. I found you through another blog and came over and am following you. First of all, I am so happy you have someone in your life that you love and that loves you. I live on a small island off the east coast of Puerto Rico and by choice I do not have a TV as it distracts me from my goals. Therefore, I have only seen a little about Greece on the internet. Is there anything we can do for you? Please do not hesitate to let us know. My email is nancythedove@aol.com Blessings
What a beautiful honeymoon! Such a lovely place. Im so happy that you were able to enjoy it and recharge as you return to a difficult situation. Hoping for the best. Na zisete kai na isaste panda agapimeni !

I hate to see the news of the trouble in Greece. We visited in March and it is such a beautiful country.
Your photos are breathtaking. I enjoyed your sketches as well.
I hope Greece can work things out for all.
What a beautiful honeymoon!!!
It looks like a magical trip, full of wonderful memories!
Πανέμορφα μέρη! Τα επισκέπτομαι κάθε χρόνο καθώς έχει η οικογένεια του άντρα μου εξοχικό! Να είσαστε καλά να ξαναπάτε!
I'm so sorry to hear the news abut Greece every day on the radio. I do hope a solution is find somehow. Your pictures, on the other hand, are gorgeous. The colour of the sea is amazing.
Να είστε γεροί πάνω απ΄όλα και ευτυχισμένοι και του χρόνου να πάτε πάλι.
