Have a great summer!
The referendum is over. People voted NO at a great percentage more than 60 to 40!
From tomorrow onwards we are going to wait and expect better solutions and we hope Europe will listen to what we have to say.
People demonstrated.....
Young people especially....
People like me feel like a bird in a cage....
People hope for the best...people hope for the sunshine to come.....the fight is going on....

That's not as close a result as was predicted here in the UK. Let's hope that a solution can be found that does not hurt the ordinary Greek people.

We are watching closely here in England. We had our budget this week and the government are attacking the poor, women, children and the disabled in the name of austerity. The worst of it is that they are convincing so many people that it is necessary to attack the most vulnerable people in society. Not only are people getting poorer, they are being demonised and hated too.
I truly hope that things improve for your county very soon.
6 days after and me and DH in Portugal are still looking at the news!!!
After such a powerful "OXI" we did hope that Europe was going to respect Greece!
It seems that the great leaders Europe once had are either dead or too old to be respected by these crazy new powers! We do think of Greece, every day!
