Our trip to the U.S.A. (3)- A morning start.

After a good night's sleep we were woken up at 6 in the morning from an unexpected phone call from Greece. Of course the caller didn't know we were in the States and wanted to fix our air conditioner!!!!!! Well he did when we returned in September!
I took the chance of waking up so early to look around! Everything was so beautiful!
In the beach theme.
And filled with sea glass!
I loved all the details in Marabeth's house! See my felted stone on the mantelpiece?

And when the others woke up too we spent some time outside. The weather was fantastic!

We chatted a lot!

And then decided to go for a golf cart ride around the village sipping our coffee.

Such a beautiful little sea side village Old Saybrook is!

Oh the beach!

I just wish there was some sea glass!
We talked and talked!
And looked down!
And oops there is one piece of sea glass!

Marabeth's welcome was so warm.
And the beach greeted me with two pieces of sea glass!

And lots of beautiful broken shells.

And then we went back to the house seeing the marsh.

And there were so many beautiful birds too!
So some things I noticed that very first day...which is not over yet mind you!
Lots of green, lots of birdlife, lots of beautiful wooden houses, kind warm people....
To be continued....

Wow! The village is so pretty, I love the house with the mini lighthouse. How lucky it was for you to find two pieces of sea glass and that first piece of shell looks like the Coliseum to me!
