Our trip to the U.S.A.- (2) Still June 30th.First Impressions!

I got very possitive remarks in my finally starting blogging about our trip to the U.S.A. so I guess I have to go on as people are eager to find out what I had been up while there!
So after the safe flights we arrived in Boston Logan on June 30th at 5 in the afternoon local time.
Marabeth, my dear sea glass friend and her sister-in-law Nancy were waiting for us at the airport!
This trip was in its great part made possible because Marabeth invited us to the States so I am so grateful to her.
And that's the first photo we took together!
We then went out of the airport....
...and went a bit around Chestnut Hill in Boston.

 Wow!What great houses!

We stoppd for dinner in Legal Sea Foods where I tried my first clam chowder (pronounced chowda)
and steamers! They were delicious! That dipping in the butter was magical!Thank you Nancy for such a treat! And for taking us in your car to take us home!

 And shrimp with onion rings!
Of course Themis had to try a local beer.
And the icecream balls for dessert were excellent too.
Our first dinner in the States was excellent!
One funny thing was that at the table next to ours were some Greeks and we chatted with them. It was the first of many meetings with Greeks or people of Greek origin in the States.

Nancy took us home and it took us more than two hours to arrive! I thought it was  a long drive.Maybe because I was tired!
I went a bit around the house! It was so beautiful! It should be included in an Interior Decoration magazine! But we were too tired to do much! We were up for 23 hours! So we went straight to bed!
...to be continued!

The food must have been a chnage from your usual Greek food!
