Cup

This week's prompt in Our Beautiful World is
cup
chosen by Mandy of A teacup of Scrapisms.
I love drinking coffee twice a day.
Here you can see my coffee at school during the break bought from the school canteen.
I could have written pages about drinking coffee and tea but I don't use cups. I use mugs! I have a big collection of mugs which I have bought from around the world!
I also drink my tea in them or in small Turkish glasses.
I prefer filter coffee and cappuccino in winter and frappe or fredo cappuccino in summer.
What's your favourite coffee?
Why don't you join us with your cups in Our Beautiful World?

The sunshine makes me happy.

Although we are already in November and Christmas will be here so so soon (and I have prepared nothing yet!) we are having such great weather, warmth and sunshine that I can't stay at home! Why should I anyway?
Last weekend my cousin from Athens was visiting so we went around a lot.
Then during the whole week I found all kinds of distractions not to do chores at home.
Like going for coffee with friends, and to my ceramics class.
Taking advantage of the weather the school went to an exhibition of copies of Las Incantadas , the stolen statues of Thessaloniki now residing at the Louvre,
 beautiful Ariadne among them!
We also saw ancient Greek musical instruments
 and ancient Greek inventions,
some of which were really very interesting like this type of chess above.
We also did an earthquake preparedness test at school and went to the park too.
This weekend we did so much again,
I attended a fable presentation by the storytelling group Lupus in fabula which was excellent,
had coffee with friends,a meeting with family,
hubby and I also went to an exhibition at the Archaeological Museum.
We saw the art of Haida. Haida is a tribe living at some islands off the west coast of Canada. Their art is so different from ours but so interesting.

Of course coffee at the seafront is a must on such days when cars are not allowed at Nikis Avenue and you can have all the sea front to yourself along with thousands of other people!

I hope you had a great weekend!

The Sound of Music.

I didn't feel like blogging all last week. You can read why here in this post.
But as things are happening fast and I want to talk about them I will try to blog a bit today and the next couple of days.
So last week ...
...the term ended and we had a school meeting and a meeting about stress that teachers have with the school counselor...
...we continued our power walks and even collected a little bit of sea glass...

...we attended the theatrical performance "I walk in the forest" by Stella Mihailidou with the school. It was very good...

...we had a doctor's appointment and everything is fine...
...I had coffee with a lovely friend Christina Ina whose cat Hourhouri was so really sweet and played with a laser beam I got for it...

...I enjoyed Christina's muffins for a couple of days afterwards...
...we rehearsed for a book reading tomorrow on Nikos Kazantzakis that we have done before...
...and we went to a musical "The Sound of Music" which was EXCELLENT!

There are only three more performances of the play in the city so don't miss it !
