Hello dear friends!
First of all I'd like to wish all of my friends abroad a very happy Easter! Ours is on May 1st so we still have a long time to go.
Also I would like to thank everyone for visiting my blog and leaving a comment too on the previous blogpost about Our Syrian Friends. This was the first time my blog had more than 500 views and lots of comments on one blogpost and that makes me very very happy.

of a crafty group that was started and organized by Anna of In My Closet 
Anna has been our leader and inspiration. She has gathered us many a time in her cozy kitchen and we have learnt many new techniques or worked on items for charity.
This time it was to learn how to make pom poms and make a pom pom bunny for a charity suggested by Lia of  Meandmamacreations (Filoptohos Adelphotita Perithalpsi in Katerini for my local friends)
This is what I made, my                                       part.

I made a bug in the colours I loved in a combination of blue and orange. Doesn't it look like the Barcelona team T-shirt colours?
That's how we started.Anna had lots of threads and wool.

 She gave us the pattern.

 And we started wrapping around it.

In the end that's how my bunny turned into a bug!

And here are all the bunnies and bugs together! There is even a piglet and a beaver among them!

As usual we had plenty of great food that I forgot to take a picture of (unbelievable), but I really tasted almost everything!
And I had many great surprises. Here are some!
Evangelia of Happy Deck brought me a giveaway win I had won on her facebook page. It's a bookmark and a fridge magnet and a card all made by her. You can find them in  her shop .

 I also had a beautiful surprise gift by Dimitra of DimitrArt for my birthday! Isn't it gorgeous? Thank you so much Dimitra!

of this group of ladies! It brings the best out of me! And the last couple of years these ladies have stood by me in all my adventures!And I am grateful!

One more workshop! Weaving!

On Saturday November the 1st, the month started beautifully!
Anna of In My Closet blog organized one more very successful workshop!
This time she chose to change the venue and instead of her cozy welcoming kitchen we moved to cozy welcoming Button (Koumbi) Coffee and Crafts. I have mentioned this really nice crafting beehive cafe here and Anna made her workshop there.
This time we were more people scattered in little tables all around the cafe.

The plan was to make a cardboard loom and weave wool around it.
That's mine here. I used Anna's lovely wool and couldn't put it down!

Everyone made really beautiful things....
Melina wove very fast and finished before everyone else!

 Sophie (my former pupil!) made a great combination of colours!

 And Eleanna of aouts-pins made things more exquisite by adding shapes to her work!

 But of course all of us were in trouble with the tension of the loom as it tended to be narrower in the middle.

Some others finished their work of art really quickly! Like Lia of Meandmamacreations...

 ...and put it into good use!

Unfortunately I was too concentrated to my work to take more pictures but you can read about it here too as Eleanna of aouts-pins blogged about it as well.
We of course ate a little bit too, some fantastic chocolate mint cookies by Vasso of daxtilostovaso and Eleanna's cookies of course and my usual muffins!
I also made something for Anna to commemorate my one year of attending her workshops.
A small Christmas ornament, a closet that looks like her kitchen cupboards! I found the pattern on the web and transformed it into a felt piece.

And finally I finished my woven piece the next day!

 It so reminded me of sunsets at the beach house!

 So I added a setting sun and put it into an IKEA frame I happened to have at home and for the time being it is set on my new bookcase.

 Thank you Anna for one more great workshop!

Etsy Greek Street Team meeting

On Thursday afternoon the Thessaloniki branch of Etsy Greek Street Team met at Peirama, a beautiful space where I learnt how to crochet a couple of months ago.
Sweet Vivika of The Wandering Deer organized the whole thing.
First we were shown how to make some scrapbooking card holders by Olga.

Then we had a break to munch sweet and savoury delights some members made. I made some cheese, red pepper and dill mini muffins and they were a huge success.

Then I was asked to introduce the second handicraft which was embroidery on old photographs.

Some members really made great things out of this.But unfortunately I didn't have time to take pictures.

In the end there was a Bingo game and I was the first winner!Wow! This is what I won made by pocolocini. I know who is going to receive this lovely owl in a couple of months!Someone who really adores owls!

In my closet....

....I don't have skeletons, although because of the recent Halloween I could have!
In my Closet is a lovely blog I found which belongs to sweet Anna whom I met at the Etsy Greek Street Team meeting a couple of weeks ago.Anna makes lots of lovely things and you can find her beautiful cushions here.
Anna organises workshops at her cozy convenient handmade kitchen and I was lucky to have joined in this Saturday.It was the Bling Bling Workshop based on this idea.
We gathered at four and I personally stayed till late. Anna is such a warm and generous person and I had a great time although a first timer there. I met many new friends and had the chance to meet again with two other ladies of the egst Stella and Lia. I also found out that Demetra and I had met before at the Handicraft Course I attended at the neighbourhood library last winter.It's a small world!
Also I met lots of other great ladies who have creativity in common as well as bookcrossing. I am almost ready to join them at their adventures with freeing books but I need first to see how much time I will have for that as my time is really very limited now.

Of course apart from meeting and creating we ate a lot as all ladies brought delicious handmade sweets. I guess the best one was Christina Ina's American pumpkin pie which I hope I will find time to make.It was covered in meringue and was delicious. Runners up Stella's cheesecake and Anna's sister's lemon pie!

Before leaving I had a look at Anna's creative corner and adored it!
